Updates
Edit: One of my cats has become very sick. He might even be dying. We won't know till this evening. So, if I'm slow with answering comments, that's the reason. I just hope that he'll make it through

So, erm... My apologies for the lack of proper art updates. I do have some screenshots ready for a tutorial, but I don't know when I'll have the energy to actually make them into a tutorial as I've been feeling really down for the past few weeks/months. Lately, I've also been feeling as if my art is boring, bad and uncreative. Which leads to not being able to finish anything, which leads to my creativity ebbing away, which finally leads to feeling even worse >_<
But time for the nice things: I've been having some fun dreams lately. I had one about having to save Leuven's railway station and the rest of the world from Morgoth and the fell beasts and one that was a crossover between Star Trek and The Avengers. They didn't top the 'save all the chickens and humanity from giant, evil, ugly alien chickens with big, sharp teeth' one, but they were pretty fine. Especially the Morgoth one

Also, I've been to a concert by Nightwish. I had already seen them live once, but they still were pretty awesome

I've got tickets for a concert by Therion in September too

Aaand I've been to a live show by my favourite stand-up comedian! He actually talked about political correctness and the assumption that only white people can be racist, which are issues that have been on my mind for quite a while. Sometimes I just wish that those overtly political correct people would get off their high horses and think about the possibility that a) someone just is ignorant about an issue (in which case it is better to try to educate them instead of biting their heads of) and b) maybe English (or whatever language they were using) isn't their native language and that they thus don't know all the connotations that come with a word or expression. >_<
Besides all that, I've been busy with playing secretary for my archery club. They organised their annual outdoor competition last weekend. It was the biggest one we've ever had and maybe even the biggest one in the country: over two hundred archers participated

Anyways, I always help out with the reservations and scoring and thus am in the first line of fire when archers start complaining (and believe me, complain they do). But this year there were no real issues, which is a small miracle.

No people claiming that they have been doing the same thing for at least 30 years (which was impossible in their case) and no idiots who think that it is a good idea to take a little walk behind the fences and thus directly behind the targets that are being aimed at by about a hundred archers

We did have to call the police once because a woman kept harassing one of the archers, which had to do with a really weird family situation. Apparently it's a-ok to live with both your soon-to-be ex-husband and your lover and then come to an archery competition solely to harass a woman whom you think to be the mistress of your soon-to-be ex...

Rules (that are there to be ignored):
1.You must post these rules.
2.Each person must post 11 things about themselves in their journal.
3.Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post, and create eleven new questions for the people you tag to answer.
4.You have to choose 11 people to tag and post their icons on your journal.
5.Go to their page and tell them you have tagged him/her.
6.No tag backs.
7.No stuff in the tagging section about "you are tagged if you are reading this." You legitimately (AKA, really, truly, with all honesty) have to tag 11 people.
8. Tag me back with your answers.
1. Who/what is your biggest influence on your life?
Who: my family, especially my Peet (grand- and godmother). What: philosophy.
2. Have you ever done anything illegal?
I have downloaded a few songs in order to hear what a band sounded like before buying one of their albums. That was before I knew about Youtube XD
3. Have you ever written anything you're really proud of?
Yup, a poem/rondo titled 'Sterrenwacht' (which I won't even try to translate) and the 'i Tali a Tiriè' (which I can translate, but won't).
4. What is your guilty pleasure?
Fanfictions (sometimes).
5. Is there something you would love to have but can't afford?
A big library with shelves so high that you need a ladder to get to the top of them. Also, it has to have long velvet curtains, high windows, a fireplace, comfortable chair, a secret passage, a big map of the world and a fluffy white cat (along with my own two cats).
6. What is your favourite picture?
Don't quite have one, I tend to prefer nature itself over pictures ^^'
7. What do you like about yourself?
I don't tend to like things about myself, but if I have to choose: my hair? It's finally getting long ^^
8. Where is your favorite place to be when you need to be alone?
Outside, surrounded by nature. Sad thing is that my parents won't let me go hiking in the fields alone. So, the backyard has to do for now.
9. Are you good at comforting others?
I genuinely don't know. You would have to ask the ones I've tried to comfort

10. Who is your favourite celebrity?
Does J.R.R. Tolkien count?
11. Where would you live if you could live any where in the world?
Erm, I like where I live. Though some real mountains and a waterfall would make it more awesome.
My questions:
1. Who/what inspires you most?
2. Which language would you like to be able to speak(if any)?
3. Do you prefer personal websites or dA accounts?
4. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate or neither?
5. Which place would you love to visit most?
6. Who is your favourite author?
7. How would you describe your art style?
8. What's your favourite television series?
9. Which would you prefer: a long walk in the mountains or a lazy day at the beach?
10. What's your favourite season?
11. Who do you look up to most?
